The Michigan Music Alliance is proud to announce the Cultural Business Enterprise Initiative. This brand new program utilizes the existing Micro Local Business Enterprise framework to certify independent artists as local businesses.

The MLBE Certification is part of the City's Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) Program, which is designed to foster equitable access to contracting and procurement opportunities for local small businesses. This certification is available to qualifying businesses that are independently owned and operated, meet specific size standards, and are located within the Grand Rapids region.

What you need to participate:

Current LLC located in Kent County and registered with LARA

Tax returns from the last 1-3 years

A utility bill or lease agreement

A notarized Statement of Personal Net Worth from a Certified Professional Accountant

Registration with the City of Grand Rapids Purchasing Department
